Jev, checked: 14 claims from a popular post, 8 held.

A popular post explained Jev in 14 claims. Before any of them goes into a proposal, it helps to know which ones hold. I checked each claim and gave it one of four verdicts.

  • 8 held of 14 claims
  • 2 wrong of 14 claims
  • 2 held in part of 14 claims
  • 2 no source found of 14 claims

What the verdicts mean

Held
A source says the same thing the post says.
Wrong
A source says something different; the post needs a correction.
Held in part
Part of the claim checks out; the rest could not be confirmed.
No source
Nothing found to back the claim or to refute it.

The one to watch

The riskiest line in the post is a number: an attack success rate of 65%. I found no source for it. A figure like that ends up in security reviews and board slides. Until someone shows how it was measured, it should stay out of both.

What this note is not

It is not a review of Jev, and it is not about the person who wrote the post, who is not named here. Most of the post held up. Prices and SDKs in this area change quickly; anything above may have changed since 24 Sep 2026.

Why it is on this site

The same habit runs through my client work: before a number goes into a plan, find where it came from. If it has no source, it does not go in.
